How to Play Wordmeister
To play, combine letter tiles to form words and earn points. Longer words yield higher scores. Start by pressing the play button and selecting your avatar from eight available characters. The player with the highest score at the end wins.
Rules of Playing Wordmeister
- Compete as a single player against a computer opponent, following the rules of traditional Scrabble.
- Arrange the eight available tiles to form crossword-style words, starting from the center. Each new word must connect to an existing tile.
- Words can be formed vertically or horizontally, but only in one direction per turn.
- You can form two words in one line, but they must be accepted by the game's internal dictionary.
Bonus Squares
Maximize your score by placing high-value words on bonus squares:
- Blue: Doubles the letter value.
- Green: Triples the letter value.
- Red: Doubles the word value.
- Orange: Triples the word value.
Scoring at Wordmeister
- The center star offers a double word score for the first player.
- Each word's value is determined by the numbers on the letter tiles.
- Common letters are worth 1 point, while rarer letters have higher values.
- Blank tiles can be any letter but have no point value.
- Bonus squares provide extra points, but can only be used once.
- Your final score is reduced by the value of unused tiles.
Swapping Tiles
If you're stuck, swap multiple tiles in one turn, though you'll miss that turn. This can lead to higher-scoring words later.
